Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Loved this poem. This is not just about the choices that we make but it truly intends about the courage we need to make certain choices.
The two roads diverge equally, both are unpredictable.But through our perceptions, we can draw certain conclusions : The one which is fair and clear is used by most of them so it is safe and can be a good choice but the one which is grassy seems that no one has used it and unpredictable. Though it seems adventurous, we have no idea what is ahead of us. Once the choice is made, it is not easy to come back, once decision is taken you need courage and patience to overcome the hurdles,ups and falls until we meet the destination.So, I decided to choose the one which is less traveled to test my chances of luck and set an example that I may also survive thinking differently. I bid good-bye to the road traveled by most of them and continued my journey turning to the road less traveled.
