Every morning just like every ordinary day people come out for walking, to buy newspapers, for milk, for school or for work. But the common thing here is everyone is busy in either their own work or eavesdropping in others matters. Whoever it is, their common duty is to know what is going around them. That's common thing but what is more important is how much you are trying to help the one who are really in need. HA! HA! HA! I am not ashamed to say it aloud that I am one among them carrying the common excuse by tagging the word called 'busy'. Days have been busy, busy in thinking about oneself or busier in thinking about others. Do you believe it not? The thought to help others require money, courage, heart and selfless nature to go against the odds and work with satisfaction. This is true. And I believe it.

Coming to the point, one day I found a strange colourful pamphlet in front of my door instead of newspaper.

ON A COLOR CHIT
“Strange but true that whoever be helpful to others, whoever are kind will receive huge handsome of money as a lucky charm”

"What the hell is this?" I thought and tossed the paper into the dustbin.

Everyday the same pamphlet is found either with the newspaper or alone in different colour. It is strange that those pamphlets are found everywhere on the road too. One boy making boats with those papers, stall keeper wrapped groceries with them, school girl covered her notes with that same paper. I ignored since I'm already late to office.

"Bhayya you want any help?" Asked a young man to the person who is unable to walk.

"Yes", he said.

"Come hold my hand", he said and helped that person to walk till the next shop which is across the street.

"Thank you", he said. This young man replied with a smile.

Whenever I come across incident like this, I remember the scenes which come in movies especially hero trying to impress the heroine. But this is so sincere and so refreshing so I felt it as a good start of the day.

The next day Neelu aunty, our neighbour came to my house. "Jaya, where is your daughter?" She asked.

"What’s wrong?" Asked my mother. One of our family member have some problem, so I told them about our Janani beti. Anyways she is renowned lawyer right, so she might be helpful to them", She said.

"Oh, that's good, by the way who is that?" Asked my mom.

"Prasad Rao’s son’s friend’s uncle got a small problem in his construction company", she said.

"Who is Prasad uncle?" I asked her from behind.

"He is my dad's friend 's cousin", she replied innocently.

"Who is your dad's friend?" I asked her.

"Kumar, recently he got into politics", she said.

"Politics? I don't know anyone with that name", I said.

"Don't worry I will explain you in detail”, she said sitting in the couch nearby. “I don't want to hear any story right now, moreover the so called person in problem .... I said.

"Prasad Rao’s son’s friend’s uncle", she repeated like a parrot.

"Yeah, that fellow ask him to meet me in my office with all details tomorrow. I will look after that”, I said and went into my room without listening one more word from her.

..........

"Excuse me! Can I carry this bag?" Asked an elderly person. I am shocked to answer him first after some time coming to my senses I replied no nodding my head and walked fast to my home.

"What's wrong with this colony people Amma?" I asked my mother in surprise. “What happened?” She asked me.

"That uncle, who don't even care to have a second glance who is dying came to help me", I said hastily.

"This is really surprising beta", she said and went inside without answering.

.............

The very next day, the so called Prasad uncle's son's friend came to our office to talk about his uncle. "Can I meet Janani Madam?" Asked in the most respectful manner.

"Madam is in her cabin", said my assistant.

"You can go by taking right", he informed again.

"Hello Madamji", he said walking into my cabin.

"Yes how can I help you?" I asked.

"I'm Prakash, I hope Nelu aunty told you everything", he said.

Oh! "You are Prasad uncles's.............

"Yes" he said before I complete.

"What's your actual story?" I asked without wasting time.

"My uncle is doing some construction business he started listing their contracts and achievements and all".

"Please come to the point", I said without hesitation.

"Yeah, coming to the point, someone filed a case against my uncle", he said.

"Against what?" I asked him.

"He has some problem while buying a land and he had approached some people. They asked more money and when uncle said 'No' they filed case against him", he said.

"That's it?" I asked him doubtfully.

"That much only Madamji", he said confidently.

"Okay but who are those people", I asked them.

"They are..", he hesitated. "Tell me who are they?" I asked him.

"They belong to some politicians", he replied.

"It's okay.If our point is strong we can win the case", I said.

"Okay, I will bring all the papers required", he said and left.

"I don't think there is truth in what he is saying", said my assistant as soon as he left.

"I felt the same", I said.

"What do you think it might be? Is there any chances of some hidden truth" I asked him.

"We don't know until we personally find it", He said.

"Exactly. Tomorrow go and find the details about the case", I said.

"Okay Madam", he said and left the room.

The next day when I went to the market I saw people busy talking about something. I saw some colorful pamphlets in everyone's hand.. In them, I can see few familiar faces too Children as usually playing with them. Oh! Not again, I thought and walked silently.

"Are you people believing in this?" Asked Raaju uncle to another uncle whom I don't know his name.

"I, still don't believe who is circulating these nonsense rumors?" Said Mahesh Bhayya.

"I don't know Saab, these are all distributed early in the morning", said Chaat vaala Bhai.

"I don't know who is doing this but its good to see people smiling and helping each other", said Raaju uncle, one of my teacher's husband. "Janani beti!" Called Raaju uncle when I was about to stop at the chaat shop. Not to mention I was his favourite student.

"Ha uncle",I said.

"You are looking too busy these days?", he Asked.

"Yes uncle I am busy with some work", I replied.

"Hmm! It is good to hear that", he said smiling.

"Meet Babu he said showing a person beside him.He is working in income tax office", he said. "And she is Janani, advocate", he introduced me to him proudly.

"Nice meeting you uncle", I said smiling.

"Janani! So it was you Raaju speaks everyday about", he asked curiously.

"She is my champ", said Raaju uncle."Nice meeting your champ", Said Babu uncle turning to Raaju uncle.

"Anyways I want to ask you one thing", said Raaju uncle.

"Yes uncle, What is that? I asked him"

"Did you see these papers", he said showing those mysterious colorful pamphlets.

"Yeah, how can I ignore when they are grabbing attention", I said.

"Do you have any idea of these?" he asked.

"Actually they seem......

"I don't know who is behind this but I am sure they have a good purpose", he started without letting me complete. By the way he is very anxious about it too.

"Look at those kids he said pointing children who are trying to pick a big stone.I have never seen them together especially those two Ram and Shyam he said pointing to red t-shirt with white stripes and blue collar shirt and dotted pant. Do you believe that they maintain groups and argue, fight until they shed blood. Recently Shyam got into a fight and pushed Ram. That kid fell down on that stone and got hurt. It took few days for the injury to heal but never looked into their eyes. Now see those kids what the are trying to do, the two groups are trying to remove that stone from there so that nobody gets hurt. Don't you think it is a good change", he said.

"Yes uncle but how can you relate this incident to these colorful papers", I asked doubtfully.

"Champ, still you didn't get it? Don't disappoint me", He said.

"Sorry uncle, I can't relate them" I said nodding my head.

"Children learn from elders, do you agree?" he asked.

"Yes", I nodded.

"They try to imitate their parents, they act and follow what others do.Especially they are quick and easy", He said stressing the last words. "Hmmn!" I nodded."Their parents, after looking at these papers believed in this nonsense and had fallen into the trap", he said.

"But uncle you know these are just....

"Ha Beti that is just a rumor but see some change could be seen these days", he added.

"Dad! Again started taking class to your champ here", Asked Bubbly who is pretending to be angry. Angry face doesn't suit her at all but she always try to make it to look cute.

"Come On Bubbly! I am in serious discussion with my champ", he said.

"Whatever but you have to come home in 10 mins. Don't forget to bring samosas and jilebiya while coming otherwise mom will be angry", she said leaving.

"Okay dear", he said.

"Okay I will leave now", I said turning.

"Beti, find about these papers when you have time", he said rushing to the nearby samosa shop.

........................

"Hmm! I sighed and went home with samosa chat and some groceries my mom had asked me to bring. It sounded interesting after talking to Raaju uncle about the pamphlets that are being circulated. It is true that change is being observed in people these days. But what has to be found is whether it is related to the rumor or is it a real change? created a big dilemma.

When I was busy in my own thoughts my mom came with a box."What is that?" I asked her.

"It is the sweet box given by Renuka", She said.

"Sweet box from Renuka",it sounded surprising because she is not the type of women who can spend a rupee without any profit.

"Why did she give?" I asked her again.

"Even I was surprised to hear her stunning reply", she said.

"What was that?" I asked her.

"She said that she want to help people so she is distributing sweets."

"What a dumb answer was that", I said in bewilderment."I think they have forgotten the actual meaning of the word'HELP' these days", I said.

"That seems strange, I don't know what happened to our neighbors, they are acting weird", she remarked.

"Since when mom all this stupid talk has started?" I asked her while sorting out the files on my desk.

"What talk you are talking about? Is it about colorful chits?" she asked immediately sensing my curiosity.

"Yes mom", I said.

"Don't know exactly, it is being nearly one and half month", she replied.

"Great, I Said. What are you guys doing without even noticing all this", I thought.

..............

"Jaya aunty", Someone is calling my mom standing at the door.I went out to see who that was because nobody dares to shout like that standing in front of my house.

"Who are you?" I asked her.

"I am Rani, she replied. Living in the house nearby autostand."

"Why did you come here?" I asked.

"Jaya aunty said she will give old unused clothes to me", she said.

"Wait here", I will call my mom and went to kitchen.

"Aye Rani, I told you not to call me aunty right?" She is shouting while carrying the unused clothes.

"Okay Jaya Di", she said immediately.

"Jaya Di!" I had to control my laughter for that.

"Hmm! Take these clothes", she said putting a pile of clothes in front of her.

"Mom, why are you giving them?" I asked her.

"Because you are not wearing them and some of them don't even fit you anymore", she said smiling.

"But that was my favorite dress", I said picking up my red and white salwar suit immediately from that pile. Then green top, black dupatta.."

"Di!" said Rani. I turned to her to listen what she is going to say for that. She turned to my mom and said "Check what is not required. I will come in the evening to collect the remaining", She said acting uncomfortably. I felt embarrassed to her reaction.

"As soon as she went, I questioned my mom what the heck was that?"

"I'm just helping the girl", she said simply.

"Helping, since when this helping kind of thing popped up in your mind?" I asked her.

"What do you think of your mother? I'm not heartless like others and I can't see people suffering, Do you think I am materialistic?....." She screamed adding all nonsense to support herself.

"Will you stop it mom", I said at last.

She is sweating and moving with exhaustion. I know my mom have a helping nature but not to this extremes bringing some girl to house and giving all my clothes especially the recently bought ones too. This worried me a lot. And that made me look into those chits actually.

...............

The next day when I went to the office, that Prakash who came earlier is sitting in my cabin. Besides him there is another guy.
"Hello Madamji", said that guy suddenly with his thundering voice.

"Hello", I said.

"Hello madam", he continued. "I hope you remembered me", said Prakash with a sincere smile.

"Yeah I remembered you", I said.

"Here is the file", he said.

"What is this?" I asked him.

"This is the file related to my uncle's construction company."

"Okay."

"I want you to go through this. The details of those people who are creating problem to my uncle are also available", he added.

"Madamji, sue those idiots as early as possible said the one who is sitting beside Prakash.

"Who are you", I asked him.

"I am Ganga", he said a bit more aggressively.

"Don't mind his behaviour madam, his nature is that", said Prakash interrupting us.

"It's okay Prakash,I will talk to you in two days", I said.

As soon as they left my assistant came with the case details I asked him before.

"I will take care of that but first you go and get information about these pamphlets. I want to know who is circulating them immediately",I said.

"Yes mam", he said.

I have gone through the file that Prakash has left and checked with the information collected by my assistant. This seemed quite similar but something is missing. The person behind all these allegations are unknown. I decided to go and talk to that so called uncle directly to gather some more information.

.............

Next few days everyone's behavior is as usually abnormal very helpful, cheerful, kind and happy.People are less bothered about gossiping for passing their time instead they are sharing problems with others to understand their difficulties. Though it is really good to see,it seemed different.

..........

"Do you have any idea what is happening?" said one person.

"We got cheated by these stupid rumors", said the another.

"Even though it is some false rumor , don't you guys feel good for the change", said Raaju uncle like always.

"No, Nothing seems good. We are fooled by some random advertisement", said one short guy.

"Look at those children how they are playing together without even bothering their status", said one middle aged guy. I just turned to look who those kids were.

"Give my money", said another guy to the guy beside him.

"How can I give you now when I have none", he said.

"I don't know that, you said you will return it in 10 days but it has been a month and you didn't even pay the interest."

"Are you kidding? I already said that I am not in position to pay interest at the time of receiving money."

"You liar", he said.

"You cheater", said the other.

Both started fighting and everyone are watching them fight.Again back to their colors I thought. Raaju uncle genuinely went to them and tried to stop their fight but unfortunately he was pushed by them and fell down.

"This is what happens if anyone tries to help others", said someone in the crowd ,don't know who it was.

The next day, my dad and I went to see Raaju uncle.

"Hey my champ", he said in his old shivering voice.

"How are you uncle?" I asked.

"I am fit to participate in a running race", he said smiling.

Though he is smiling his expression showed that he is pain whenever he put some energy to talk.

"Doctor said to take rest", said bubbly.

"Bubbly I don't need any rest", he said.

"Raajuji take care of your health. See how scared bubbly's face is?" Said my father in a concerned tone.

"I know, I know....

"If you know, you will never involve in such stupid fights", said Bubbly with tears in her eyes.

"Janani", called Bubbly's mom my social teacher when I was in 10th standard.

I went inside slowly. She is lying on the bed. She didn't even turn to me but started speaking as if I am always there."How are you beta?" She asked in a low voice.

"I'm good teacher. How are you feeling today?" I asked her.

"Great,I am happy that you have come to see him", she said. "Can you bring water?" she asked after a pause.

"Sure", I said and rushed into the kitchen. From the look of the kitchen I can guess that nothing is been cooked. Near the stove I saw a plate full of jilebi's. I went to mam's room with glass of water. She has some health issues so she can't put strain to herself and do household work and doctor advised her to take rest. So Raaju uncle takes care of everything including cooking and washing. Bubbly though she tries to help her father she always end up doing something else. So Raaju uncle will never allow her to do anything except studying. But bubbly always help them. They are very nice, good and happy family after all those problems they face everyday.

"Mam I continued, I have learned a lesson."

"What was that?" She asked me with a smile.

"It is, how to cook kichidi", I said. She stopped smiling and the look on her face said that she understood what kichidi I'm preparing in my mind."I want to take test", I said disturbing the silence.

"Janani?" She said in a low soothing voice.

"Mam, do you think I will pass in this test", I asked sitting beside her.

"I know you will get 100 percent marks and I know that you no need to take the test", she said.

"Please mam let me do it", I said in requesting tone.

"Janani!.......

"What is going on here?" said Raju uncle who came along with my dad.

"Actually I came here to give the test but mam is not allowing me", I said to Raaju uncle.

"A student asking for a test and teacher is denying to put a test", he said questioningly. "What's wrong?" Asked Raaju uncle.

"I know my champ is always good at her things", he said again.

"She wants to prepare kichidi", said Mam with a sly smile.

"Kichidi, is my favourite", said Raju uncle.

"So you can give me marks for that", I said.

"I know you are my champ and you will get cent percent marks for that so don't strain yourself doing it", he said.

"No, you should taste and tell how much you give", I said.

"Let her do it Rajuji, even I get a chance to rate her cooking skills without fear" said my dad understanding the situation. In less than half an hour I prepared Kichidi with aaloo paneer curry as a side dish with the help of Bubbly.

"Dad! Why don't you taste it?" I asked looking at my dad who is staring at it.

"Don't doubt my champ's skills", said Raaju uncle while having a full spoon of Kichidi mixing with the curry.

"Hmm! Yummy", he said. "Yeah", added Bubbly. Mam smiled. "I'm surprised. My daughter have great cooking skills", remarked my dad. Everything went well. But when I was leaving Raaju uncle reminded me regarding those color pamphlets again.

...............

The next few days, I was busy in investigation, preparing docs and enquiries until one fine morning. That morning at early hours there was a big commotion in the colony. More than like a festival and less than to a political rally. So I immediately got dressed up and went to check what it was actually.

People gathered, shouting and praising and laughing. I found my dad in that too. Not surprising but found interesting to check what he is doing there. Sarath uncle's son came to me with sweets. "What is this?" I asked him. "Did you get state rank in your exams?" I asked with doubtful expression.

"No Di. We got lottery", he said.

"Lottery?" I asked doubtfully.

"Good things happen to good people, said his mother. You know it's all true, those color pamphlets are all true she said laughing in excitement."

"You guys don't believe in lottery, how come you bought one", asked my mom.

"Arey Jaya, lottery in sense not through lottery ticket She blurted. We got parcel, on that it was written as lottery. When we opened it, we found money stating that we were rewarded for our humanity", she said hastily.

"Parcel? With money? Humanity?" Asked my mom.

"Yeah, Jaya. The rumours are true", she replied.

"So that's true, the color pamphlets are true repeated my mom.

"Yeah Jaya, you know even Raaju bhayya got lottery", she stated.

"Raaju bhayya, you mean Raaju uncle", I asked her.

"Yes. But Bhayya is not excited and said he would send it back."

"Hmmn!" I said thoughtfully.

"He should be grateful for getting money in time. His wife who is suffering from illness may get good treatment and Bubbly can join good college and they can be happy", she said.

"Auntiji, Raaju uncle don't accept anything like that. That too money that comes free. He says once we fall for it, it makes us slave", I said supporting him.

"I don't understand you Janani beti", she said and went to the people who are greeting her.

The words "Good things happen to good people" are apt for Raaju uncle but for Sarath uncle's family not at all. How can they give for those mean people, maybe for best acting they should get I thought and went inside. The very next morning I went to Raaju uncle's house.

"So, you got the news", said Raaju uncle.

"Yeah uncle. I don't know how to react to this", I said.

"Me too", he replied.

"Money is an urgent requirement but not like this beta. I sense something bad he added. Maybe I should complain to police about this", he said.

Bubbly came excited jumping and singing. "I can join better college Di", she said. "Don't you think my dad's good heart was rewarded", she asked.

"Yeah but that amount is never compared to uncle's good nature", I replied.

"Yes, we should have got more money", she said and went inside.

I think someone has placed the parcel in the doorstep and left, just like the pamphlets they are circulating. But how come no one is noticing this strange happening. Who will give money? And that too for others for helping purpose? Are they any black money? Are they trying to get rid of this with this stupid act? Or do you think they are cray?.....We spoke for another hour regarding that. He once again asked me to take time to enquire about this.

Never felt the urge to check them but this time it proved me wrong.. Its like what he said was true. Who will do such thing? Who want to loose money unless they are mad. Is it some trap or any kind of scam or is it black money came up in my mind.

The next few days people gossiped about the lottery ignoring Raaju uncle's suspicious remarks. Sarath uncle after they got money, they ignored everyone boasting themselves. People around them have no choice but to listen to their nonsense remorsing for not getting money until one fine morning.

People gathered in front of Sarath uncle's house. Police were interrogating their neighbours. Yesterday god visited their house said my mom sarcastically. Hearing that I went to check the whole story.

"You stay away", shouted the officer in charge.

"I belong to law firm, my name is Janani", I introduced myself and asked few questions related to the crime scene.

Today morning when Sarath uncle family returned from vacation they found that the lottery amount they got was lost. Everything seemed untouched except that. Aunty is crying aloud calling names to uncle that he didn't listen to her when she asked him to buy gold. He says that he wants to invest that amount in shares but lost because of her vacation programme. The whole family is accusing each other and requesting the police to recover their money as soon as possible.

"God knows everything commented my dad."

"He knows who acts and who truly are. Sarath acted as if he is kind, helpful and good natured."

"Look what happened? He stopped acting after he got the remuneration(lottery) so he is suffering now said my mom mocking their situation."

"Stop it mom I said and went to office."

My assistant followed me with a file as soon as I went to the office. "What is this?" I asked.

"Regarding those color pamphlets", he said.

"Tell me in detail", I said taking the file.

"Two days back we came across a 12 year old boy distributing these varied colored pamplets."

"12 year old boy?" I asked him in surprise.

"Yes mam, a kid is circulating these pamphlets, when asked about that he said he was asked to circulate them without asking the details."

"Didn't he find suspicious about that?" I asked. "He is uneducated he replied simply."

"Who asked him to do that? Did you get any details about that?" I asked with curiosity.

"He didn't meet him personally. He got a parcel with voice message asking him to do this, so that he gets huge sum of money he said. Here is that", he said placing an old recording device on my table. I think this person is roughly in his late thirty's.

"Next", I said to continue. "Along with this recorder, he got 25 thousand money", he added. "So that kid believed that note instantly and started doing it", he said.

"So that boy don't know who that person is?" I asked finally.

"Yeah mam" he replied.

"Just look at the places where he is circulating these pamphlets", I said and closed the file.

"These were circulated only in your location mam", he said. "Most of it is solved then, I added but with his questioning look it is clear that he didn't get the point.

"Just look carefully what is printed in the pamplet", I said. He read it and nodded saying that he understood what that means. "That means money will be awarded to the people who are kind and helpful", I said. And you said that these were circulated only in our location."

"Yeah Mam", he said nodding his head.

"Recently one of our neighbour Sarath uncle got money through a parcel stating lottery" I said.

"So it's true", he said bending forward lighting hope one his face.

"Yes and to everyone's surprise that money is stolen after a few days", I added.

"Stolen? Theft in your locality is strange", he said.

"Yeah but one more thing one of my family friends also received money", I said smiling feeling proud to about Raaju uncle.

"Great", he said leaning back.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"Mam! What is the talk about this incident?" he asked.

"People started praising the two family being great and all. But when one of them lost money they gossiped that they just acted of being helpful that's the reason they lost the money."

"Do you believe them?" He asked. His questions are just like as if he is cross examining me.

"I don't believe in such things but the thing is I knew both the families very well. There were my acquaintances since 20 years I added. I observed change in Sarath uncle suddenly showing humanity but I let that go due to some work pressures. And later after he got money he returned to his normal colors", I said.

"Mam, maybe you got some points", he said smiling.

"Then my mind put everything together. May be we should consider what people said I murmured. Got it, that means that family lost the money because they don't deserved to be rewarded. And if this is the reason then that person must know us very well. This clearly tells us that he is staying in our place and observing us from the day 1" I concluded.

"Yes mam", nodded my assistant again.

That night I left home asking my assistant to track the list of people who started living in that locality recently and also the press who is publishing these pamphlets.

The next morning Prakash, my new client came to office with someone.

"Madamji, he is Netaji who is working in our construction company", he introduced the man who standing behind him. "He can be the witness for us", he said.

"What kind of witness?" I asked.

"About those goons who tried to warn my uncle", he added.

"Did you see them?" I asked.

"Yes", he said without looking at me.

"Since how many years you're working in their company?" I asked him.

"Since 4 years Madamji", rushed Prakash.

"Let him answer", I said.

"Bolo", he said pushing him forward.

He looks scared. And Prakash seems to hiding something.

"Prakash, bring the land papers", I said.

"Madamji?"

"You said there is litigation while registering the land so let me check the papers of that land so that we can approach properly", I said.

"I already gave you one photo copy of the land papers", he said.

"I need the originals", I said.

"Are you doubting us?" He asked raising his voice.

"I'm just gathering original evidences to file a case against those people", I said concealing my fear. That moment my assistant came in asking what happened?

"Teeke Madamji", said Prakash and left hurriedly.

"Let me do the background check completely and then you can talk to them said my assistant. They seemed doubtful from the beginning he added."

"I guessed the day he came, I replied. The photo copy of the land papers he gave are duplicate ones. But seeing him so confident obviously raising more doubts", I said.

On the very next day Raaju uncle came to my house. "Rajuji! How is your health asked my mom. "I'm feeling better", he said.

"I came to meet Janani beti", he said stating the purpose of his visit.

When my mom woke me up, I changed my dress and rushed to meet Raaju uncle who is waiting.

"What happened uncle?" I aksed. Since he never come early hours to meet me.

"Beti, don't mind but can you lend me some money" he said after a pause. I understood the situation.

"I'll send you today", I replied.

"Don't you ask me how much I want?" He asked. I don't know how to answer. He came all the way this morning to ask money. He must have thought a lot to approach me that's the reason I immediately answered but don't know what might be the urgency.

"It's huge amount Beti", he said.

"How much?" I asked him.

"Three Lakh ruppees", he said.

"Three Lakhs?" I said surprisingly.

"For your aunty's operation", he said. "Recently doctors advised operation for her illness so I wish she can recover if... ", he said and it is clear that tears are rolling in his eyes.

"What theen lakh?" Said my mom who came with coffee.

Definitely Raaju uncle felt embarassed with my mom's expression. "Mom can we have private conversation later", I said.

"Sure", she said and went inside.

"Can you help me beti, I will return it once I get the loan", he said.

"So, you came to ask my daughter that huge amount", said my mom holding a plate of parathas.

"Mom", said I so that she can leave.

"It's huge amount Beti, that's why I came to you. I can't ask anyone it ....

"Raajuji, you too got lottery right? Why don't you use that", she advised. This time she came with water. I know why she's doing that, she's always like that I thought.

"Raju uncle I'll look into that", I said before my mom says anything to him.

After Raaju uncle went my mom pestered me not give money. She said he got lottery, but not using,he can't return, how can he ask me,I can't give my money, the money I saved is from my hardwork.....
Better get out of here, I thought.

........

The other day I was late while returning from office. My assistant offered to drop me at my house safely but I insisted him to go home as his mother is all alone being sick. At least should've called my dad because now-a-days girls have no security, not that I'm scared but people can't be trusted at this hour.

"Madamji kaha jayenge?" Asked autowala.

"Nahi bhayya, nahi chahiye", I said and walked to the bus stop. Finally when the bus arrived, it is all empty so I thought it is not safe and started walking.

Still at that late hour people are there but my sixth sense is warning me. So without delaying I started walking quickly. I tried calling my dad while turning right. I saw few guys at the corner of the street. They looked suspicious and scary too. Let them be, I'm a brave lawyer in the city I thought and walked to the bus stop. It took a while for the bus to come.I climbed the bus and called my dad that I'll be a bit late so that he won't be worried. When I got down from the bus, those people got down along with me. This is really scary.I didn't notice them climbing the bus. Since when did they follow me I thought and hurried taking big steps and immediately got down from the bus.

I ran quickly holding my bag tightly. Then they too started running but keeping quite a distance from me. Bad luck comes with twisting my leg. "Where are you running?" Asked the moustach guy. "Listen before you kill yourself", said a stout guy."And you ..sneezed the short guy before continuing it, beware of Munna Bhai before you involve into his matters", he said. I didn't understand who that Munna Bhai is? But well understood that maybe regarding the case I'm dealing related to that Prakash's uncle land.

"Munna Bhai malum hai?" Asked that short guy again. "Don't know", I said. "Need not", said the tall guy with checked shirt."Don't involve in this case.Praksh ko damki ...someone shot him before he finished his line."Bhago" shouted the stout fellow leaving him behind. I just touched him to check if he's alive but unfortunately not.I turned to the other side to see who it was? There stood a tall man in simple plain shirt and a pant torn at knees. And the next moment I fainted without saying a word.

"What happened?" I asked my mom who is sitting beside me as soon as I opened my eyes."How did I come here?" I asked her.I think she was scared more than me.

"Stop asking me questions. I'm scared, you know you were lying outside unconcious. I didn't understand what happened to you. You were shivering and saying something strange in your sleep.Your dad have no words. She was blabbering, crying and cursing the hell out of me. I can understand her. Who on earth will be joyous and happy when her daughter is left alone at their doorstep lying unconcious I thought. But how did I come? Is the deadliest question I put to myself. Maybe the guy who shot them put me here. But how did he know about me and my address is another question. This need to be investigated soon, I thought and called my assistant.

"Janani Di! How are you?" Asked bubbly holding me. Raaju sir sat in front of me with worried expression. "I have no idea what is all this Janani Beti. Strange things are happening, I don't know if I should be worried or scared", he continued. "What's wrong uncle? I asked. How is aunty right now?", I asked.

"Mom is fine Di because of you. We are coming from hospital, operation was successful", She said happily. "That's a great news", I said. But why is it because of me?" I asked confused.

Bubbly can we talk later. Let her take some rest Said Raaju uncle. My mom rushed immediately with parathas and juice. Raajuji let me pack food to teacher also said my Mom. No need Jayaji, I'll take her something he said uneasily. Don't say that. Can't we do that or you're afraid that my cooking is bad she said smiling. No Jayaji he said. Bubbly come with me said my mom walking into the kitchen.

Don't mind uncle, mom is like that I said. I know Beti. Can you tell me what's going on? I asked. And how did you manage to pay for the operation I asked. That's what bothering me Beti. Some unknown person payed the bill. And he left this note Beti he said taking out a color chit from his crumpled kurtha's pocket.

"Raaju Saab, Don't worry. I talked to the best doctors and they'll do their best and also promised that operation will be successful. I know you don't want to use the money which you got as lottery for operation and you approached your best student to lend money even though you're completely against it. I'm impressed with that and I also know that you want to know who's behind this color chits circulation with the help of her. Though you're happy about it, your curiosity is what making you to know about me. Please don't put your interest in my business. I may sound good but may turn bad if anyone try to involve with my work. Warn her about me"

"What's this? How does he know that you need money for operation and tat too about the amount you asked? Okay he but why's he doing this. Circulating strange rumors and helping people. Who would do that? And without any benefit nobody will throw money unnecessarily", I said hastily. I think you need not worry about these chits issue he said after a moment's silence. That's absurd. We already came up with some conclusions I said. Janani beti! do you know how you came here? He asked. I was struck with my words. What does that mean? Did you bring me here? I asked. How did you find me? And how did you fight those goons. I was asking all questions without letting him speak.

He said wait a moment taking another crumpled chit.

"Raaju Saab. I can only trust you. She's lying at her door step so please help her."

"What's this? I asked him. Don't say that he helped me?" I said.
"It was astonishing and don't know what to do. He seemed to be scary and the very next moment he sounded to be good. I wish you stop trying to investigate this", said Raaju uncle.
"We can almost find him uncle. Since I saw his face, I can easily get to him."
"Did you really saw him?" He asked moving forward.
"Yeah I did. I found him familiar but at the same time not so sure about it", I said.

"Okay that's good to hear but you need to be very careful. So, please beti leave this" he suggested.

"But Uncle...

"Please Janani Beti, don't be after this", he said finally cutting me off.
I didn't understand why Raaju uncle is insisting me. He is not an ordinary person I believe. Who can be after such mysterious happenings? This is creating curiousty more than enough to go after him.And he saved me, helped Raaju uncle and warned ....
Should I stop this? There's no point in that. Someone, among the colony is behind this.Yeah, he' observing every move of people. He must know, else  how can he do this. And I should find his main moto behind his actions. Though he sounded good to me he seems to be dangerous I thought all the while after Raaju uncle left.

Two days later, I went to office as usually. There that construction company guy is waiting for me and my assistant is trying to contact police for my security purpose.

Madamji! How are you? He asked.
Without answering I walked in to my cabin.
Great.
Great, this guy is acting innocent I thought.
What now? I questioned as soon as I entered my cabin.
Madamji! I heard you were attacked by goons he said. I think they are are the people I'm talking about he said sitting in front of me.
Which people? I asked.
Those, who threatened us to vacate the place he said.
Listen there is still time for the next schedule of hearing. So, my secretary will contact you soon I find who those people are I said with a fake smile. Madamji, you are not understanding. Close this case favour to us we will give you security he said threatening me. Not required, I said humbly.
What is he saying asked my secretary as soon as he walked out.
He wants to provide security, maybe a personal bodyguard who can easily kill me I said sarcastically.
Who do you think attacked you the other day he asked.
Don't know but they said to get away from Munnabhai's matters. Do you think it involves.... By the time I complete the sentence, someone knocked the door and said that I got a parcel.
Parcel? Who sent it? I asked my secretary who is checking it.
Happy to see you recover soon is the letter found in that parcel.
There's no address maybe the one who is after you he reminded me. No I think the one who saved me I said. Maybe you are right he said. Gather reports on Munnabai and this fellow I said about the one who just visited. But what about the one who saved you asked my assistant. Most importantly, you need to do something about that first I remarked. You do personal detail check on the people in our colony especially on the people who is staying since 8 months or one year I said. Mam! I think that's not enough because he must have known all of us very well. So, I check since 15 months or one year he said. Okay, but I need the reports by tomorrow evening I said. Sure mam he said.

That's not the point actually, I want to meet my little Champ said Raaju uncle who is arguing with someone outside. What happened? What's the commotion outside? I asked my assistant. I don't know Mam he said and walked out. Raaju uncle what are you dong here? I asked him immediately who entered in my cabin in a hurry. Beti! I have something to talk to you he said. What? I asked rushing out immediately. Beti! another letter for you he said.
"GET WELL SOON! DON'T BE AFTER USELESS THINGS. LEAVE THE CASE" This is what written in that color chit. Who is he? What is he trying to do? I thought. I know they are bad guys, but why is involved very much in this I thought. Half confused and half doubtful increasing anxiety to know more about the person. What is that beti? asked Raaju uncle with a worried expression. It's nothing uncle don't worry I said asking my assistant to look at it.

He went to the little kid who supposed to distribute these color chits to know something more about the mysterious guy. When I went home, my mom informed me that Hashi my classmate also received money along with four others. "When? How?" I asked. I thought to call Hashi but decided not to. My assistant called me and gave few details regarding the case. And we had hearing, day after tomorrow. There are two cases. He will not leave me if I loose the case, but if I win innocent people will suffer. What to do? is my question. Unable to get some conclusions, I felt uneasy.

My school teacher, Raaju uncle's wife was again sick. After the operation also she is suffering from pain. Raaju uncle unable to see her like that immediately called ambulance to take her to hospital. At that early hours, he saw someone roaming in that chilly weather.  Inspite, of that tensed situation, he called me to check. I didn't understand what he's up to so I asked him to calm down before he say something. "Is everything okay?" I asked him. "Yes beta, but I don't think so", he replied vividly. "Can you be more clear uncle, How is mam?" I questioned when I heard ambulance siren at distance. "She is okay, but taking her to hospital", he said simply. "Wait, I will be coming", I said getting down from bed. "No need, don't come out", he said. "What? I didn't understand", I said because it sounded like a warning. "What's wrong?" I questioned immediately acquiring my authority. "Beti! when I said not to come listen", he said and hanged the call. Slowly I just went and checked outside standing at the window. Everything seemed normal. With the chilly breeze, I felt like I was freezing so I quickly closed the window. I sensed something unusual, being in law firm for four years my experience taught me that normal means something is fishy. So I covered myself with blanket and went to the window again. There everything seemed normal, then slowly I went to the hallway and checked the window at the entrance. There I saw 2 men on the ground. They were badly hit. But by whom? is the question that scared me. I quickly acquired the glasses from my room and checked them closely. There, the same guys.. the other day who came to warn or scare or maybe to kill me were lying helplessly on road. What should I do? What should I do??? Should I call police? Should I complain? That Prakash guy? Or ...nothing popped in my mind. Then when checked again, I saw a tall guy, with an iron rod wearing gloves and mask. He kicked them mercilessly again and again even though they are unconcious. What? he want to kill them or what? And this guy who saved me the other day again showed up. What's going one here? I thought. And a low gasp escaped from me. With that the guy turned slowly towards me.I quickly closed the window and ran into my bedroom. I covered myself with blanket and lyed on bed.. hoping to be a dream...

...........

The next day, I don't know what happened.. my mom woke me saying that my assistant came to see me. "Why? What happened?" I asked lazily. I almost forget what happened earlier. When I went to the living room, my assistant immediately stood wishing me. "What happened?" I asked him. "Mam, do you know what happened yesterday?" He asked. "What?" I said. For a moment I thought and remembered what happened actually. "Listen", I said immediately going out and checking the surroundings. "Madam! he said again following me. What do you think happened yesterday?" I asked before I'm going to break the ice. "Office was ceased", he said simply. "There was a notice attached on the door", he added. for a second I thought I was hearing something else but the truth is our office really ceased, he showed me a picture he took from his mobile. "What is this nonsense?" I asked. "Madam, did anything happened other than this?" he asked calmly. I didn't listen to what he is saying. Madam he called me again so I that I will get back to my senses. I saw a guy hitting two men yesterday", I said under my breath.  "Is it true? Are you sure?" He asked me. "I am not understanding anything", I said sitting in the nearby couch. "Me too but I got something interesting for you", he said. I saw a someone yesterday delivering the color chits to that kid he said. Who is that? I asked immediately. I don't know madam, he is wearing a mask he said. At what time? I asked. When I checked everything, I understood that the guy who banged those goons and the chits mystery is related to one person and that one person arrived to the scene after delivering those pamphlets to the kid. "But why here? How did he know that they are following me?" I questioned. "Maybe he's watching over you ever since the incident", he suggested. Maybe Raaju uncle saw him and that's the reason he warned me not come out I realized. So Raaju uncle.. uncle is in hospital .. I called Bubbly and checked the name of the hospital and went there with my assistant." Madam I don't understand what your're doing right now. Our office is ceased and we didn't get prior notice about it too.. I don't know who is behind this.. And that Prakash didn't show up since that day though we have hearing tomorrow", He started blabbering without letting me think properly. "Will you shut up for a moment?" I said no screamed literally. "Okay madam", he said understanding the situation. As soon as we reached the hospital, I rushed into the ward where I can find Raaju uncle.

"Beta, I told you its not necessary", Said Raaju uncle. "I want see madam, So I came", I said watching her sleeping calmly. "Oh! good", he said. "By the way, Uncle I would like to have a word with you", I said intending to have private conversation with him. "Hmmn!" he said and walked to the hospital canteen. "Uncle, I trust you. And I believe you I began. What is that you know? What happened? And who is the guy in the mask?" I asked directly without wasting a moment. For that, he didn't seem surprised but he stammered whether to say or not.. My assistant voluntarily gave a juice to him. Please, your words help us a lot", he said to uncle in a soothing tone. It is my mistake to ask you to look into thins nonsense beta.. t is nothing like always rumors is what", he said. "I don't believe because I saw him yesterday", I said. "I saw someone who came to attack me too", I blurted surprising him more. "Our office was ceased and threatened too", Added my assistant. "Beta, better stop all this", said Uncle holding my hand. "I should have been more careful in warning you... he's someone who is very scary.. I don't know why he's doing this? What is his actual purpose?  I don't understand what profit he's going to gain...." Uncle went on with his choice of words. "Don't get scared, we are all here. What did you see?" I asked him. "Your aunty is very ill yesterday. She's suffering a lot. I asked Bubbly to take care of her and went to the nearby medical shop. There I saw two guys talking about some case you are dealing with and walked towards your house. I thought to call you but I left my mobile at home so I silently followed them. Then I saw the two of them speaking to someone in phone, I didn't understand that.. But after two minutes later I was pushed by a guy. When I saw him, he turned but asked me to take care of myself and suggested to take aunty to hospital and promised me to save you", he said hastily. "What does that mean?" Asked my assistant. "So, you went home the next minute", I asked. "Hmmn! he said ambulance is waiting at home, so I rushed immediately", he said. "Did you see him?" I asked. "Not completely", he said. "He wore mask, All I can see is his eyes and tatoo on his neck", he said. "Those are enough", said my assistant with excitement. "How do you find with such mere clues?" Questioned Raaju Uncle. We both smiled simply answering him.

"Find out who ceased our office? And contact Prakash immediately. And for tomorrow's hearing, we need to get those papers from office", I listed out what is to be done immediately to my assistant. I called Bubbly and asked her to take rest at my house. I myself collected all the chits of different colors and checked them clearly. The same is printed in all of them. Though we don't have any idea who is printing them, we can gather information where he's getting these papers. All these colors of huge quantity he can't get it simply I thought. then using my contact I found who is supplying them. I and my assistant went to interrogate them personally. Hello! said my assistant to the owner. I want to buy color papers said my assistant. "What color papers and which size sir?" he asked without looking at him. He took out the color chit and showed to the owner. "Oh! We have plenty he said but suddenly he said we don't sell such papers". "We pay immediately, they are urgent", insisted my assistant. Sorry sir, we don't have he said again with a worried expression. But we heard that you sell them huge quantity for a high price asked my assistant. Then the owner's assistant came saying "sir, we have two boxes and do you want to bring them?" to the owner slowly. "Shut up! Go and get into the work", the owner screamed. We understood the scene and got into the action.

The next day, we found that Prakash has gone out of city. But the matter is what about the court hearing. It got dismissed instantly since the actual culprit is Prakash's uncle who scammed to get the building from the actual owner. And original papers of the building are already with us so we easily got through it. Now, Raaju uncle received another chit

"You people are good.. Don't go after bad.. You will eventually get hurt no matter how"

Raaju uncle called me and said about it. But what does that mean? Is that implying to me? Or Raaju Uncle? Or who? Is the question. My assistant filed a petition regarding the office matter. Is that what he is talking about? I thought. I got many doubts, many confusions, no matter what don't go after bad is what that means. Is he bad? Maybe he is intending to say that simply I thought.Everything is happening soon, I mean while we are investing secretly about the colour chits again someone got robbed. Only that money is stolen rest all is untouched. Those families are crying, screaming, and also reported police complain about the theft.

At a tea stall, I saw someone standing while I'm buying groceries. He looked tall and smiled instantly as soon as he turned towards me. Oh! such a creep I thought. Then again he walked to me crossing the road. "What Mister! What is this behavior?" I asked him immediately. "Excuse Me!" he said. I was awestruck-ed by his next words. "I heard that you are a reputed lawyer, can you do me a favor", he said. So, he came to speak about work and I thought something else I thought." Meet me in my office", I said to avoid embarrassment. I heard about your office situation he said immediately. Here in this colony nobody is aware of that. How come he knows I thought. Don't think much, I went to your office and found the letter on the door he said sensing what is running in my mind. "Okay, fine. What is your problem", I asked folding my hands. "I want to find someone", he said. "Who?" I asked. "A guy wearing a mask", he replied. "What?" I questioned. "Yeah, I saw a guy wearing mask a long coat who is in early 30's walking at night", he described. "Are you crazy?" I said sensing danger from him. "No Miss. I am curious", he replied. "If you know the story, you will understand the reason behind it", he said. I was anxious, excited to know what that story might be, at the same time I was nervous what I have to hear and I was scared to know about it too. All emotions overwhelmed me to know about the guy in the mask. I felt suspicious and worried so I thought to leave immediately. Though I tried to walk way, my lawyer instincts glued me to the truth.

.............

I, that guy, my assistant and Raaju uncle sat at colony's club house backyard where it is safe and ignored. "Who are you? And what story you want to say? And what do you know about the guy in the mask?" Asked my assistant all at a time. "Woah! Calm down young man don't startle me", he said smiling.
"Okay, tell me why are you so interested in this matter?" I asked. "Because I'm curious too", he replied rolling his eyes. "Why?" Questioned Raaju uncle. "Just like you guys, I'm also interested to know", he said turning to him. My assistant is becoming impatient with his boring answers. "Where did you see him?" Asked my assistant impatiently. "The other night, when Miss is watching through the window, I saw him hitting two men", he replied. I was conscious to that remark. "Janani beti!" Said Raaju uncle. "What are you doing at that time?" I asked him. "Hmmn! I'm a night person", he replied with a stupid smile. "I think you are thief", Said my assistant. He smiled for that too. Guys, don't waste my time.. I want you to spill the beans", I said using the appropriate phrase I can come up with.
"I saw him taking you to your house", he said pointing me. I was surprised hearing that. "I saw him placing money in front of your house", he said to Raaju uncle. "How? When? And how come you stayed still knowing all this?" Questioned Raaju uncle. "Because I am aware that nothing counts when you are not interested in it", he said simply. Nobody understood what he's trying to say. "Miss! you are a lawyer, you are busy with your work, though you felt uneasy about these rumours you never thought to find about it. Did you too expect money?" He questioned. "Absolutely No", I said. "Sir, you were so interested about it. But why is my Question? Did you think that your problems will get solved if you get money easily?" He asked Raaju uncle. "No! I know such money is not good", Replied Raaju uncle. "Then why you guys didn't question about it or didn't report or complain? "He questioned them.

Nobody answered. They stayed still immersing themselves in their own thoughts. "Don't think much, I have answer to that", He said simply.
"Sir, remember one thing... the word 'help' is not easy he began choosing his words after a pause. I know people are busy in their own lives, with jobs, family and everything. I know they don't have enough time to look after themselves so there is no point of taking time to look after someone. But still, there will be a moment where you are needed the most.. A glass of water is something more to the poor person who is dying of thirst, likewise food, clothing, schooling,....and there are more ways to led your hand when someone is in need he said with the glowing eyes. I have seen children begging, old people dying on roads, and.....
Seeing them, I felt that they too deserve basic necessities instead of crores of money and acres of land. What do you say?" He questioned Raaju uncle. Raaju uncle nodded his head agreeing with him. "These days, it is not easy to find someone who can do all this. I lost hope returning after 12 years. There is a beggar old enough to walk but not too old to die so soon, stayed in these roads years before, he is a nice man. He taught me a lesson, gave me courage, pushed me to do better", he said. Again blank faces, we didn't understood what he's saying. "Whether you believe it or not, I was a runaway kid. I was a teenager, angry, irritated and frustrated don't know why I left my home too. No money, no ambition, nothing in my life. He was sitting near the tea stall bench and watched me staring at food stalls. He is not someone who can afford to buy idly though he is starving since two days. But still, he took the money from his dirty wrapped clothes, understood my situation and bought tea with the old 2 rupee coin. I hated him initially, but when I saw actual him I saw someone within him. His eyes were red when speaking. No worries about it because his 2 minute lecture made everyone to think once, not about the word help but about the people's humanity. You never understood my actual point here since you are after something else", he finished with a big uff! and smiled sadly. What's the point here? Questioned Raaju uncle. What happened to that man? He added. Sir, why do you want to about him? He questioned Raaju uncle. "Just to understand the logic behind your act", I replied instantly. "Don't try Miss he said looking at me."Okay, I don't understand this but I would like to understand about the color chits" I said openly. "I know why you came and how you came", I added. He smiled instead of replying he stayed still. "We want you to speak gentleman", Said Raaju uncle. "I studied well, after going back to home with that old man's brief lecture. Maybe that is my turning point. I am what now is all because of him. 10 years later when I came after completing my graduation acquiring good job, to show him that I achieved something I saw him lying dead. Yeah, he died previous night but nobody bothered to check what happened to him. There is a huge crowd sitting at the tea stall gossiping about all nonsense but none.. none came forward. I literally cried and called someone I know to take him from there immediately. What's the worth of human life? I thought. How much money will it cost to gain the touch of humanity? I thought. How much happy and free cost helping hand would be? All stupid questions popped in my head. Though it made me insane for two weeks I thought to make them realize why there were like that. Why it has to be like this? Everyone either save or spend for themselves but never offer a penny to anyone. When they saw these chits they didn't believe. Only crazy people advertise like that. After few days they saw what exactly written on it, but still they didn't believe it. After few weeks they felt why don't we grab the chance and started acting weird. Unnecessarily lending their hand, pointless helping nature popped just like air. Everyone got busy in that when you guys felt something strange", he remarked. "So, I was caught", he said under his breath.

I didn't feel strange, but scared", Said Raaju uncle. "Why? "He questioned. "Because these things don't matter to me, since money is not easy", Said Raaju uncle. "My wife suffered all these years because I don't have money is what you thought right? So I received help which I don't deserve. We are simple people young man, not everyone you think are like the people you hated. Remember, the old beggar? He must be someone you never understood. Maybe he didn't accept help from anyone, maybe he never felt the urge to be part of the society, Maybe he has last bit of self-respect,.... Raaju uncle added all the possibilities to calm that man with justification. I agree none cares about others, none bothers about others unless they gain some profit... like and all your perception has to be changed. Because the person you saw other day and now has completely altered because of the situation. That does not mean you have to do this kind of cheating adding lies and misguiding the people", Said Raaju uncle. "I maybe wrong, my approach is completely illegal and misleading but I'm doing the right thing", he said sternly. We didn't understand what to do with this guy.  After a pause "What do you want now?" I asked. "Nothing", he said. "I don't believe it?" Said my assistant. "Better don't because I am not begging you for anything. All you need to do is turning into a bling eye", he replied seriously. "Janani beti! there's no wrong in ignoring this", Said Raaju Uncle. I was surprised hearing that since he gave a long lecture to that guy. "I found goodness and spark of care, love, and attention between people nowadays with his small act", he said. So I felt what's wrong in this?" He said. "Raaju ji this is not right?" Adviced my assistant. "As long as things go in right way, nothing is wrong", Said Raaju uncle. "What do you say Beti? He asked me. I have no answer.. My puzzled expression may clearly shown what is running in my mind. "Miss, You can arrest me but before that be careful when you go into your office because the guys who are after you installed something dangerous in your office. The other day, I saw that Prakash guy with few others breaking the lock and going inside with the box. So, I sensed danger and sticked that note on your office door", he said simply. I smiled with thoughtful expression. "Remember, when you stand for good.. you should be ready to face the bad first", he said. "That's a good saying", Said Raaju Unc"le. "So, the meeting ended.. just like that..", Asked my assistant. We are leaving the culprit?" He questioned again. "Do you remember a saying like you should never let an innocent to bear the punishment even though 10 culprits escape the jail? Questioned Raaju uncle to my assistant. "Yeah.. But.. ", he stammered while choosing his words. "Better we go and check what exactly they planted in our office", I said. "Mam, then you too agreeing for this?" He questioned. "Not because he is doing good, because kids are loving to play with those color chits", I replied smiling. "That's my champ", Said Raaju Uncle. "Miss, Thanks for closing this case successfully", He said. "I never did. Since I never found a reason to accuse you and never got any witnessed to prove you wrong. Only thing I wish is better do the right without going bad", I replied. He understood what I mean immediately he replied with a smile. My assistant is still watching disappointment plastering on his face. Judge failed to understand the case, Lawyers failed to understand the cause and victims accusations due to invalid witnesses", I said casually. For that my assistant came to conclusion that nothing can be done until we find strong point to prove charges against him.

Again the very next morning I saw the same color chit with same matter lying under the newspaper. I smiled while reading it. And like every other day, I saw everyone playing with those chits... paper boats, wrapping sheets...what not they became very useful. And the same man, I saw him sitting at the tea stall and drinking tea simply smiling reading the chits which are of his own creation...

Thanks,
Anjana Kone.
